Chris is such a lucky guy. Also, I got your Valentine. Thanks!

Allison - Every SAHM needs some "me" time to maintain her sanity. I find mine at the gym and volunteering at the church. Hope you find yours and are able to stick with it past Lent.TwinMomMichellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10974604169341576224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1420464251857043721.post-37715848956223340342010-02-17T16:32:56.639-06:002010-02-17T16:32:56.639-06:00I always give up drinking on work nights. I LOVE TV. 40 days without ST-TNG, AFV, 90210 and Buffy. Can I do it? My daughter, along the same vein, is giving up books she's read before. Just how much Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary can you re-read?
I remind her that it isn't mandatory to give stuff up. We give stuff up as a small sacrifice that represents the large sacifice Jesus made for us.
Wish us luck.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04339966081935992932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1420464251857043721.post-89990790554001107172010-02-17T15:49:21.596-06:002010-02-17T15:49:21.596-06:00Personally, I have always found it easy to give up...Personally, I have always found it easy to give up something like chocolate or pop. I am catholic and I remember a priest telling me one time then to do something else that is a challenge for me or that would change my life. So this year i have decided to give myself at least 15 minutes a day. I never do anything for myself and always put myself last. So I will spend this time praying, medatating, reading, working out, doing something I love......whatever! I figure by being good to myself amd taking care of myself I will be rejuvinated and in turn be a better mom and wife!Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14294333062936744521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1420464251857043721.post-30561788363811379122010-02-17T15:37:53.666-06:002010-02-17T15:37:53.666-06:00Oh, I forgot to tell you, In addition to doing the...Oh, I forgot to tell you, In addition to doing the dare, I'm secretly making a scrapbook/journal documenting each day of the dare to give Chris on our anniversary (since the first anniversary is paper hehe). It's turning out pretty cute. Just using a 4x6 photo album. Not sure I will want to give it away. I spend too much time worrying about food, and dwelling on the fact I need something sweet.

Chris and I are also doing the Love Dare, not for Lent, just because. We started Feb 13th. I have done The Love Dare - awesome challenge! For Lent, I'm "giving up" time I would normally spend doing non-productive things and listening to the entire New Testament on MP3 in 40 days. Very exciting!SeekerofGracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11549878139431245553noreply@blogger.com
